We all have those days when we just can’t get moving, or are feeling a little lethargic. Why not diffuse a blend of essential oils into the room to brighten and stimulate you? I use essential oils in my home office to help me stay focused and on task.
Rosemary is a stimulating essential oil and increases mental clarity. It has also been known to help with memory and focus. With a pleasant scent, this is one of my favorite herbal oils.
Many citrus oils including lemon, lime, and grapefruit are energizing. The citrus oils smell a bit like sunshine–they just make you feel happy. Not all of them are able to stand on their own but lemon or lime blended with a bit of rosemary is a fantastic pick me up.
Peppermint oils increase mental clarity as well as physical energy. Peppermint has a refreshing, cool scent that is bracing. It only takes a whiff every now and again to revive.
Clove Bud oil is not only energizing, but is also stimulating (use with caution as this is a potent oil). It is a warming oil and would add a nice touch to a blend, rather than be diffused as a single note.
A few blend ideas include:
2 drops Rosemary, 1 drop Peppermint, and 2 drops Grapefruit
2 drops Rosemary, 2 drops lemon, 1 drop Peppermint
